The duo got married today in an intimate ceremony with close friends and family members in attendance. Sharing pictures from their wedding, Maanvi Gagroo and Varun Kumar, who looked lovely in a red saree and white kurta, wrote, "In the presence of our close friends and family, today, on this palindrome-ish date, of 23.02.2023, we made it official, in every way. As soon as the couple blessed our feeds with their delightful wedding pics, many from the comic circle and some Bollywood celebs dropped hearts while congratulating the couple. Mallika Dua and Dolly Singh commented with heart emoticons while Hina Khan commented," Many congratulations love Bless". Maanvi's Four More Shots Please! co-star Bani J also congratulated the happy couple.
Earlier, on the occasion of February 14, the Four More Shots Please! actress uploaded an adorable picture of herself and Varun Kumar and captioned it, "Found my lobster". It was followed by another selfie, posted a few days back by the actress which she captioned as "Under the Goan sun". The post roused a lot of conjecture among the social media users who commented whether the actress was sporting her engagement ring. See post here.
A few years back, the actress had called out a fashion label for sharing a promotional post, featuring her photo, without her permission, and also for using a description that reeked of fat-shaming.
Maanvi tweeted a screenshot of what appears to be a Facebook post by House Of Fett, in which the words "Styles to hide your curves" can be seen written underneath a photo of Maanvi, wearing a dress. Maanvi made a strong statement in her tweet, writing: "I didn't wear this dress to 'hide my curves'. Not only does the brand NOT have my permission to use my picture as a sponsored post, they definitely don't have my permission to fat shame ANYONE! I stand against everything this distasteful tagline points to." See the post here.
Maanvi Gagroo is best known for her performance as Siddhi Patel, a bubbly character in Amazon Prime's Four More Shots Please!. What makes Maanvi's stand against the brand's casual advert interesting is that her character in the series as shown as someone who has been subjected to fat-shaming all her life till she takes a stand and embraces her body. Maanvi is also known for films such as Ujda Chaman, No One Killed Jessica and Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. She's also featured in web-shows such as Made In Heaven and TVF Tripling.
