Cruz Azul announces Ricardo Ferretti as technical director
La Máquina announced the Brazilian strategist as its new coach after his successful stint at Tigres de la UANL.
Cruz Azul officially announced Ricardo 'Tuca' Ferretti as its technical director, who will take charge of the Clausura 2023 of the Liga MX in progress and with the team at the bottom of the standings after six games played and two pending games, one of them the one he will face this Wednesday against Atlas at the Azteca.
'Tuca' Ferretti traveled this Wednesday morning from Monterrey to CDMX to arrive at the Mexico City International Airport and from there move on his own, to the Cruz Azul corporate to finalize details and sign a contract.
"Hello how are you? We are already Azul, a hug," Tuca commented in a video published by Cruz Azul to make his arrival official. “We know that you come to give everything, shit! Welcome, Tuca!" added the cement group.
The Brazilian strategist already gave something to talk about, as he was surprised that he took a taxi and went alone to sign his contract, all at his own expense, in addition to consenting to a person who asked him for a photograph, to whom he ended up giving a affectionate kiss on the temple.
JoaquÃn Moreno, interim coach, achieved a victory against Puebla, the first of the tournament for Cruz Azul, after taking command of the team after the departure of Raúl Gutiérrez. Moreno was shaping up to conclude the tournament, but the board of directors reversed the plans and opted for Tuca to take over the technical direction from now on.
