Matildas vs. Jamaica: Time, TV channel, live stream, squads and team news as Australia play final Cup of Nations match

The Cup of Nations comes to a close tonight, with the Matildas one win (or draw) away from becoming back-to-back champions.

After a 4-0 victory over Czechia and a nervy 3-2 win against Spain, Australia will now take on Jamaica in their final match at the invitational tournament.

Newcastle's McDonald Jones Stadium will host the clash, with a strong crowd expected in the Hunter.

Matildas team news

Tony Gustavsson named another strong starting XI for their clash with Spain, but it is unclear whether he will rotate players for the final match of the tournament.

The Matildas coach has emphasised his desire to use the Cup of Nations as a 'dress rehearsal' for July's World Cup, so there is still a chance he will use another solid line-up.

Fans will be hoping Chelsea star Sam Kerr is included again, but starting three matches in six days is a big ask.

Cortnee Vine and Hayley Raso have been exceptional on the wing in both games, but may potentially be rested, allowing the likes of Mary Fowler and Larissa Crummer to feature.

There is room for rotation in central midfield too, with the hard-working duo of Kyra Cooney-Cross and Katrina Gorry having started both matches so far.

Western Sydney Wanderers defender Clare Hunt could earn her second start as a Matilda after slotting in smoothly against Spain, replacing Aivi Luik.

Mackenzie Arnold has also performed strongly between the sticks and should retain her position.

Matildas vs. Jamaica preview and prediction
Australia will come into this match as the heavy favourites, and deservedly so.

Their first-half performance against Spain was an attacking masterclass, creating countless opportunities and executing them efficiently.

Raso and Vine have been electric on the wings this tournament, aided by accurate and ambitious passes from midfield by Gorry.

All eyes will be on the starting XI for their final match though to see if Gustavsson decides to rotate his starting team.

As for Jamaica, despite their 3-2 loss to Czechia, they made solid improvements from their opening defeat to Spain.

Whilst their technical performance was lacklustre, they kept themselves alive through hard work, winning 50/50 duels, and making speedy counter-attacks.

If Australia don't rotate for their final match, Jamaica have the potential to exploit their tired legs.

Despite this, the gap in quality between the two teams will likely be apparent on Wednesday night, regardless of who plays for the Matildas.

The reigning champions have already scored seven goals this tournament, so expect the net to bulge at least a few more times in this encounter.

Prediction: 4-1 Australia
