Castres Football: first successful test for Jérôme Rayssiguier's U14s
Fifth day of the championship for the USCF U14 (R1), and first away test match against a team from Castanet accustomed to the top of the regional table.
The first chance was the right one and in the 10th minute on a free kick from Adam, Tony, well placed as the ball fell, cleverly stepped aside to deceive the opposing goalkeeper. In the 30th minute, Kyliann adds to the score with a powerful shot under the bar.
In the second half, the intensity went up another notch and at the end of the match Tony sealed the victory for Castres with a beautiful curling shot. The reduction in the opposing score in stoppage time does not taint the very good performance from Castres (1-3). "Big congratulations to the USCF players and their many supporters," says coach Jérôme Rayssiguier.
As for the seniors of R3: Saturday evening, in a match of great intensity, the players of the One team did not manage to return to Castres with the victory in their pocket. Against Druelle, the second in the standings, the players of Rachid and Mathieu suffered repeated attacks from their opponents during the first 20 minutes.
Big battle for the seniors of Regional 3
Time to put in place the tactical changes requested by the coaches for this match, they opened the scoring by Diego on a quickly executed counterattack (1-0 at halftime). In the second half, the pace of the match did not drop: on the one hand Druelle's desire to equalize and for Castres, the desire to kill the match with a second goal. It was Druelle who managed to score the equalizing goal. "A very great match played by all the players present, of a rare intensity and unfailing solidarity", notes the co-president, Jean-Philippe Benkemoun. Note the return from injury of former Max, Corentin and Sylvain for this match. "They brought experience and serenity to the younger members of the team."
For the rest of the results: the senior reserve lost, the women withdrew, the U18 and U15 also lost while U16 and U13 won their matches. Mixed results for the football school from U8 to U13 with victories and defeats.
