Jeremy Renner Accident: In tears, Jeremy Renner gives his first interview since the drama
The American comedian, star of the "Avengers" films, gave an interview to the ABC channel. He believes he is doing quite well after his terrible accident three months ago.
On New Year's morning, while taking part in a snow removal operation on his ranch in the Sierra Nevada, Jeremy Renner was the victim of a tragic accident, passing under a snowplow after having saved his nephew. Very seriously injured in the chest and legs, the star of the "Avengers" was hospitalized for many weeks.
For the first time since the tragedy, Jeremy Renner gave an interview. On April 6, the ABC channel will broadcast an interview conducted by journalist Diane Sawyer. Regarding his courageous act which earned him to pass under the tracks of the 7-ton machine, Renner is formal: "If I had to do it again, I would do it again without hesitation," he says.
In a thousand crumbs
In this interview, we learn what exact condition Jeremy Renner was in: eight ribs broken in 14 places, fractured right knee, broken right ankle, broken left leg tibia, broken left ankle, broken right collarbone, broken right shoulder. Broken face, eye socket, jaw, mandible, collapsed lung and liver pierced by rib bone.
In tears in front of the cameras, the American actor confesses to having been very afraid, on his bed of pain: “What will my body look like? Am I just going to be a spine and a brain, like a science experiment? (…) I lost a lot of flesh and bones in this experience, but I was refueled and filled with love and titanium”, he says, considering himself, finally, lucky.
On April 11, Jeremy Renner will attend a public event for the first time since the accident that almost cost him his life. This will be on the occasion of the world premiere of the series “Rennervations”, in Los Angeles.
