At 56, British actor Paul Grant has died after collapsing at London train station. He had played in "Star Wars: Return of the Jedi" and the first part of "Harry Potter".
His face is difficult to recognize for Star Wars and Harry Potter fans, as he was used to playing disguised and made up. Paul Grant, British actor, died on Monday March 20, 2023.
He suffered an illness on Thursday March 16 in central London, in front of Saint-Pancras station, next to King's Cross, according to the Sky News media. Brain dead, he was eventually unplugged, his family said and was pronounced dead at 3.49am on Monday. He was 56 years old.
“I am devastated. My father was a legend in many ways. He always made everyone smile and laugh. He was an actor, father and grandfather. […] My father, I love you so much, sleep well, ”said his daughter to the newspaper The Sun.
A Goblin and An Ewok
Paul Grant played the role of a goblin in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, the first installment of the saga, welcoming the young wizard to the Gringotts bank. He also had a role in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, playing an ewok, a species resembling a tiny bear.
As BFMTV recalls, Paul Grant also starred in the film Willow and in Labyrinth with David Bowie.
