De'Andre Hunter has been ruled out for Sunday's game.

On Sunday night, the Atlanta Hawks are hosting the Dallas Mavericks at State Farm Arena in Georgia.    

For the game, they will be without one of their best players, as De'Andre Hunter has been ruled out due to a knee injury.    

The former Virginia star missed Friday's 124-107 loss to the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center, so this will be his second straight game out of the lineup.

Hunter is in the middle of a solid season with averages of 15.4 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists per contest in 65 games. 

He is also shooting 45.9% from the field and 35.1% from the three-point range. 

As for the Hawks, they are the ninth seed in the Eastern Conference and have a 38-39 record in 77 games. 

They are a half-game back of the Toronto Raptors for the eighth seed. 

Over the last ten games, the Hawks have gone 4-6, but they are a very solid 22-16 in the 38 games they have hosted on their home floor at State Farm Arena. 

Meanwhile, the Mavs are the 11th seed in the Western Conference with a 37-41 record in 78 games. 

They are in the middle of a two-game losing streak and are 3-7 in their last ten games. 

On the road, the Mavs have struggled, going just 15-25 in the 40 games they have played outside of Dallas. 

Last season, the Hawks lost in the first round of the NBA Playoffs, while the Mavs made the Western Conference Finals.
