Grade Is Not Everything - Sad English Poem Written By Amrit Sahu
Grade is not Everything - Sad English Poem Written By Amrit Sahu
In a room, late at night,
a boy does dwell,
With textbooks strewn across his desk,
oh, how they swell.
His eyes, weary and tired,
seeking knowledge deep,
But his struggle is hidden,
But his struggle is hidden,
a secret he must keep.
No one understands the weight
No one understands the weight
upon his young soul,
How the burden of studies
How the burden of studies
takes a heavy toll.
His parents, oblivious,
see only his grades,
They fail to grasp the turmoil
They fail to grasp the turmoil
that silently fades.
He longs for solace,
He longs for solace,
for someone to comprehend,
The anguish he feels,
The anguish he feels,
a battle he cannot mend.
His friends, too, are ignorant of his silent strife,
Unaware of the tribulations shaping his life.
A cacophony of voices fill the air,
Mocking his struggle, their unawareness unfair.
He yearns for empathy, for a comforting ear,
To share his frustrations, to wipe away any tear.
In this sea of misunderstanding,
A cacophony of voices fill the air,
Mocking his struggle, their unawareness unfair.
He yearns for empathy, for a comforting ear,
To share his frustrations, to wipe away any tear.
In this sea of misunderstanding,
he stands alone,
A lost soul amidst the chaos,
A lost soul amidst the chaos,
seeking to be known.
But fear holds him back,
his courage quelled,
As he keeps his struggle hidden,
As he keeps his struggle hidden,
afraid to be compelled.
Yet within his heart,
Yet within his heart,
a glimmer of hope remains,
That someday, somehow, someone
That someday, somehow, someone
will break his chains.
For in his perseverance lies a hidden strength,
That will carry him forward, no matter the length.
So, let us open our eyes,
become aware,
Of the struggles of others,
Of the struggles of others,
the burdens they bear.
For in empathy and understanding lies the key,
To uplift the fallen, to set someone's spirit free.
