The best Christmas gift : A heart touching poem on Christmas Day special.
The best Christmas gift : A heart touching poem on Christmas Day special.
On Crishtmas eve, when night descended low,
A poor orphan lad did lay him slow,
His heart filled with sorrow, spirit broke,
For all his friends received gifts, he spoke.
In Childwood days, his parents gone,
He lived in cold, dark attic stone,
But still he held hope, pure and bright,
That Santa Claus would bring him delight.
He dreamed of toys, of laughter and cheer,
Of waking up to find them here,
But as he slept, no presents came,
And tears rolled down, his face so tame.
The morning light, it crept inside,
And found him weeping, eyes wide,
No gifts under tree, none by his side,
Just empty space, where joy had died.
But then, a sound, like sleigh bells rang,
And footsteps soft, upon the floor,
He sat up fast, his heart took wing,
Perhaps Santa brought him something more?
