Shamrock in Fields of Green: Beautiful Poem on Saint Patrick Day 2024 by Amrit Sahu
In fields of green, where shamrocks grow,
A man named Patrick lived long ago.
He brought faith to the land, you see,
And chased the snakes away, happy to be
In Ireland, where the rain falls bright,
He preached and taught with all his might.
He used a shamrock to explain,
The Holy Trinity, a wondrous sight
He wore a cloak of blue and white,
And carried a staff, to guide the sight.
He walked the land, with grace and poise,
Bringing hope and light, to all the noise
He founded churches, far and wide,
And brought the people, to his side.
He taught them, to pray and to love,
And brought the word, from above
His legacy lives on, to this day,
And we celebrate, in a special way.
With parades and songs, and laughter too,
We honor Saint Patrick, and all he knew.
